(Canadian Rockies, A.B. & B.C.) - Moraine Lake Lodge and Cathedral Mountain Lodge are two of over 300 restaurants that will be celebrating Food Day across Canada on Saturday, July 30. Food Day is all about celebrating the fact that Canada has some of the finest ingredients and talent on the planet.

Located in Banff National Park, Moraine Lake Lodge Chef Steven Lay exhibits the ingredients of the region and continues to define and refine Rocky Mountain cuisine. To do so, they offer orignal and adventurous entrees, including oven roasted Innisfail lamb rack crusted with pumpkin seeds, herb roasted butternut squash and fireweed honey scented jus.

Cathedral Mountain Lodge is located in stunning Yoho National Park and the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Executive Chef James Holmes is one of Canada's most passionate young chefs and is rising quickly within the culinary world. "Our belief in supporting local farms and small suppliers influence our menu which showcases fresh local and certified organic ingredients including fruit, vegetables, fish and meat, as well as Canada's finest wine selection," says Holmes.

Both dining rooms offer spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, gem-coloured lakes and a glacier-fed rushing river. In addition to remarkable cuisine, guests of both lodges enjoy an abundance of activities on their doorsteps, including naturalist guided hiking tours, canoeing, fishing and horseback riding. Nearby natural attractions include pristine lakes such as Lake Louise, and the Natural Bridge, which the Kicking Horse River carved our of rock.

Cathedral Mountain Lodge and Moraine Lake Lodge are part of Capilano Group of Companies (CGC), which is owned and operated by Nancy Stibbard, who has also developed the world renowned Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and CLIFFWALK in Vancouver, B.C.
